Computer Aided Design (CAD) Capabilities
  • The CAD Department at Jensen & Jensen Architects & Engineers, P.C. has operated on a network of CAD workstations since 1985.  All architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and civil engineering and planning construction documents are produced completely on our Computer Aided Design system.  Presently, the CAD department operates on a network of CAD compatible workstations and a support administrative network, which is linked to the CAD group of workstations.

  • Each CAD workstation is equipped with a super-fast processor based graphics engine to provide optimum speed and high resolution graphics working on CAD drawings in both 2D as well as presentation graphics in 3D.  The workstations are then networked into an archival database for each project which provides access to every node on the network.  The database also includes prototypical details and support drawings which can be incorporated into project documents at a fraction of the time it would take to recreate them.

  • CAD files are plotted in house and via plot files to client of vendor printers with with our state of the art plotters, a 36" wide format, ultra-high resolution plotters, and our 36" wide large format color plotters which are linked to the archival database to print and plot directly without interrupting any workstation.  Access is also provided, via the network, to multiple laser printers and copiers for quick response "A" through "E" prints and plots for purposes of fax transmissions, checkprints and emails including .jpg, .pdf, .tif and .plt plot files.

  • Workstations are loaded with support software like MS Office, AutoCAD 2005, Microstation V8 and Quicksurf (an engineering program for 3 dimensional resolution of site engineering associated design).  Our software library includes prototypes of almost every conceivable building type.  We also have landscape, plumbing, electrical and design accessories, in addition to CAD for Windows XP software tools, providing immense time and cost savings to the client.
